Wayne Thornhill, European Sales Manager at Ames Goldsmith UK Ltd, told Insider Media: "The company had a fantastic financial year 2019/20 despite the potential pitfalls of a looming Brexit and the Covid-19 pandemic.

"This is mainly down to the hard work and flexibility of the dedicated team working in our Liverpool manufacturing site.

"Our thorough preparation to safeguard against a no-deal Brexit and our communication with our customers, who are mainly European manufacturers, has helped us retain and even grow our market share over the last year.

"Our production staff have performed above and beyond when it came to meeting the challenge of additional workload and changes in shifts to accommodate social distancing which has helped us to maintain supply without disruption."

He added: "Growth in the market through diversification of our portfolio, gaining additional business at new and existing customers and offering unparalleled levels of customer support has made Ames Goldsmith UK a great success over the last financial year and we are hoping to repeat this success going into 2021."
